Our History
The St. Ann Special Athletes Fun Day began 24 years ago as a ministry of St. Ann Church in Bartlett for physically and mentally handicapped citizens.
This is a day of fun and fellowship for special children and adults of the Memphis area. Ranging in age from six years old to adults, these special people will compete in a number of track and field events, including:
> 25-meter dash
> Softball Throw
> Soccer Kick
> Frisbee Throw
> Bean Bag
> Wheel Chair Obstacle Course
> Wheelchair Dash
Registration and check-in will begin at 8:00 a.m. and opening ceremonies will begin at 9:00 a.m.
If need be, please download a registration form from this site and email the completed form to: Registration@SAFunDay.org.
Alternatively, the completed forms can be FAXED to 901-373-9030.
If you have any questions please call the St. Ann Parish Office at 901-373-6011 and leave you your name and contact information. We want to make this a truly memorable event and appreciate any assistance you can give us.
Volunteers from St. Ann Church and School, Christian Brothers High School, Christian Brothers University and the Knights of Columbus Council 7170, among many other organizations, will all be on hand to help. Those individuals or groups who would like to volunteer to help can easily register for Saturday morning! This is truly an ecumenical event and we appreciate assistance from everyone.
“ This ministry
is very blessed.
Our athletes
give back
to us
far more
than we
could ever
give them. ”
